Lead generation system
A weekly lead pipeline for a high-touch B2B service
A 5-stage n8n pipeline that sources, enriches, and prepares ~100 qualified prospects per week from public directories — handing the salesperson a ready-to-send list without breaching any platform's terms.
Mock metrics
- 100
- qualified leads delivered weekly
- 60%+
- contact-match rate target
- <3%
- failed runs (operational stability)
The challenge
Manual prospecting consumed the hours the founder needed for closing. Lead quality was inconsistent, and follow-ups slipped through gaps in the workflow.
Any automation had to be defensible: no direct platform scraping, no mass DMs, no compliance risk for an account the business depended on.
The build
Five-stage n8n pipeline: source from public directories and event listings, enrich with role and company signals, dedupe and filter, AI-generate personalized message snippets, then batch-deliver to a client-owned Airtable every Monday. The human still sends.
Guardrails were built in from the spec, not bolted on: no direct platform scraping, throttled requests, manual outreach only, and full client ownership of the n8n instance after a 3-month managed handoff. Liability and platform-risk boundaries are defined in the agreement.
The outcome
A repeatable weekly lead supply that frees the founder's calendar for the conversations that actually close.
The pipeline hits a 60%+ usable contact-match rate and runs under a 3% failure threshold — operationally boring, which is what a lead system is supposed to be.
